Zoom Widget - Now With Econcept WEB!

Zoom, the hugely popular video conferencing service, now has its own Econcept (TrilogySites) widget. Add it to your sites and give your clients an easy, quick, and effective way to engage with site visitors.
With so many people working from home due to the coronavirus, it’s more important than ever for companies to find creative ways of engaging with their customers and conveying their core business values. One way millions of people are doing this is via Zoom, the video conferencing service that’s free, easy to use and accessible on every device.

Zoom is one of the top downloads on both Google Play and the Apple App store. If your clients aren’t using it yet, now is the perfect time to talk with them about creative ways of engaging with their client base via video conferencing on their sites.

Your clients can even monetize online meetings by adding a PayPal widget to make collecting payment easy, and set the Zoom meeting with a password that is sent after payment is received.

Zoom is a great tool for attracting new visitors, creating a database of email addresses for future communications, and solidifying your client's reputation in their field.

Types of sites that are perfect for Zoom
While physical shops, studios, salons and restaurants are closed, Zoom can help your customers engage with their customers. A few examples:

  • Personal trainers, yoga teachers, etc. can host classes, enabling visitors to pay for single classes or purchase monthly memberships.
  • Private tutors can offer online lessons in real-time with one student or an entire class.
  • Restaurants can offer live cooking classes or demonstrations to promote deliveries.
  • Therapists can hold remote, face-to-face meetings with their clients.
  • Cosmeticians & hairstyles can offer face-to-face consultations that include personalized tips and more.

A bit more about Zoom
Zoom had a 1,270% increase in downloads over the past month, with numbers increasing every day. Its free plan allows for meetings that are up to 40 minutes long, with up to 100 participants per meeting.

  • To set up an account, you just need an email address. Download Zoom, set up an account and you can host or join meetings.
  • Zoom can be used on desktop, android or iOS, making it super accessible to a maximum number of people.
  • Zoom comes with filters to improve how you look, a selection of backgrounds, allows you record meetings and more.
  • After every meeting, you can pull the attendance list for follow-up communications and offerings.

It’s 9:00 on a Tuesday night and a homeowner’s water heater lets go. She grabs her phone and searches. What happens in the next fifteen seconds decides whether she calls you or the company across town. She will not scroll. She will not open ten tabs and compare. She will take one of the first answers she is handed and dial it. That is the entire argument for SEO, and it has not changed in a decade. What has changed — enormously, and recently — is who gives her that answer. The Ground Shifted Under Local Search Google now answers a large share of searches directly, on the results page, with an AI-generated summary. Whitespark, which has tracked local ranking factors for years, calls this the single biggest structural shift in how local results get surfaced in 2026 — those AI summaries increasingly appear above the map pack. Estimates of how many local searches trigger one range from roughly 40% to as high as 68% depending on the study and the type of query. The exact number is debatable. The direction is not. Customers are also arriving from outside Google entirely. Use of AI tools for local business recommendations climbed from 6% to 45% of consumers in a single year. Here is the part that matters most, and it is genuinely good news: the businesses appearing in those AI answers are, overwhelmingly, the businesses already ranking in the traditional map pack. AI did not replace local SEO. It raised the stakes on it. If you are not in the top handful, you are not in the answer — and if you are not in the answer, for that customer, you do not exist.

It should come as no surprise that every year brings back trends we’ve seen before and introduces new trends that completely change the way websites are designed. It’s one thing to read about web design trends in blogs, but it’s another to hear it directly from web design experts themselves.
