"Shine Online"
SIP (Stay In Place) Update
Robert Shipman • April 15, 2020
Time to RE-Open

Below you will find the TOP 5
changes due to the SIP order that will primarily change the way we do business.
No specific order
1). Ecommerce:
As people have embraced social distancing as a way to slow the spread of the pandemic, there has naturally been a drop-off in brick-and-mortar shopping. That would seem to mean there would likely be an increase in online shopping as people turn to e-commerce to purchase the items they might have otherwise purchased in person.
HOW: Develop a simple one click e-commerce site. Doesn't have to be much more than a simple description and call to action.
Amazon alone has seen it value increase: March 16th ($1689) to ($2300) per share
2). Social Ordering:
Retailers are continuing the quest to engage with visitors on social channels. With the average person reportedly spending around 2 hours a day on social media - it's undoubtedly a BIG opportunity.
Facebook alone dominates the social gathering channel. Making the leap from 'like' to 'buy' has now become the focus of most marketers.
HOW: Using your post to remind people of your product or service with links to an optimized website. Single click buying -
3). Website BLOGS:
Now that we are online more and still searching to learn something new and exciting, now more than ever should you be posting regular blogs and content to your website. Blogs with valued content and call to action will not only lead a visitor into becoming a client but also their friends.
HOW: Write monthly blogs or articles about what interests your visitors might have. Be sure to capture their emails and during the month remind them of new content on your website.
4). Email Marketing:
With email open rates doubling
it's no wonder why more emails are being sent to consumers. Now is the biggest opportunity to bring visitors to your service and or product. Providing your Blog directly into their inbox makes it simple to get the word out about what you offer.
HOW: Smaller is better. Simple email campaign with a few lines to the topic you want to cover. Direct the reader to your website for the full article and sales pitch. Don't forget the single click to buy from your email...
Since the SIP order we have most likely all started working from home and several companies will continue this trend once the SIP order is lifted. What this means is that people will continue to use online services for their social, and shopping needs. It is expected that a 200% increase in remote workers will be necessary as businesses restructure. With all this being said it is important that your business captures these potential clients/customers, as all of them will earn a wage above the average in-office worker.
HOW: Develop your business website and social media business pages!
