Credibility - Improve your business

June 27, 2022

The time is now!  Improve your businesses credibility.

Website/Mobile Website:

A good effective website helps build a strong online presence and helps communicate quality information to your consumers. Today not having a website may raise a question of its legitimacy. Customers expect legitimate, trustworthy businesses to have a website and social media accounts.

Your website not only needs to look good but also work while using a mobile device.  Easy images, big buttons, simple "Call to Action" elements to get visitors engaging on your website is well worth the investment.

Before you begin the build of your website, take a moment to stop and consider the goals you want to achieve with your new website. This can be complicated as you consider the role you want your website to play. However, drafting a website purpose statement is essential to creating a website with clarity and conciseness. This should outline the objectives and tasks that your new website will accomplish for you. Ask yourself questions like these, “Do I want to generate more leads so that I can close deals quickly when potential clients call or inquire?” “Do I want my website to be an online store that ships directly from the website and connects with other services such as Shopify?” Is the purpose of my site to educate visitors?”

Write down the websites functions and purpose.  Your website may contain more than one purpose.

The overall goal again is to gain business credibility.

Social Media Accounts:

Just having Facebook is no longer enough.  Facebook is still the leader when it comes to marketing your business online.  With billions of users Facebook has the ability to reach just about every living human.  Your Facebook page is pivotal to giving your business credibility.  Your page must be current and at min. 2 posts per week.  Posting often and with your brand will show the visitor your business is relative and up to date.

Instagram is just has important as Facebook as it reaches an audience that "whats it now"..  Be sure to post unique content on Instagram as this platform will touch those who only want a quick fix..

Twitter.  Yes this is still a thing.  Post shout-outs!  Having this page will help your business.  There are those who do not engage in Twitter but still view it daily.

Online reviews are important for consumers because they provide social proof, validate expertise, and build brand trust. They're important for companies because they influence purchase decisions, confirm authority, and showcase customer trust.

Get your business on Yelp, Google, and even Facebook reviews.

Once you have your website and social channels set up with your business the rest is up to you in earning credibility.

It’s 9:00 on a Tuesday night and a homeowner’s water heater lets go. She grabs her phone and searches. What happens in the next fifteen seconds decides whether she calls you or the company across town. She will not scroll. She will not open ten tabs and compare. She will take one of the first answers she is handed and dial it. That is the entire argument for SEO, and it has not changed in a decade. What has changed — enormously, and recently — is who gives her that answer. The Ground Shifted Under Local Search Google now answers a large share of searches directly, on the results page, with an AI-generated summary. Whitespark, which has tracked local ranking factors for years, calls this the single biggest structural shift in how local results get surfaced in 2026 — those AI summaries increasingly appear above the map pack. Estimates of how many local searches trigger one range from roughly 40% to as high as 68% depending on the study and the type of query. The exact number is debatable. The direction is not. Customers are also arriving from outside Google entirely. Use of AI tools for local business recommendations climbed from 6% to 45% of consumers in a single year. Here is the part that matters most, and it is genuinely good news: the businesses appearing in those AI answers are, overwhelmingly, the businesses already ranking in the traditional map pack. AI did not replace local SEO. It raised the stakes on it. If you are not in the top handful, you are not in the answer — and if you are not in the answer, for that customer, you do not exist.

It should come as no surprise that every year brings back trends we’ve seen before and introduces new trends that completely change the way websites are designed. It’s one thing to read about web design trends in blogs, but it’s another to hear it directly from web design experts themselves.
